This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, desktop application, and AI‑powered services. It also provides specific detail on how your SQL query data is handled when you use AI SQL Tuner Studio’s AI features.
How AI SQL Tuner Studio Handles Your Data
AI SQL Tuner Studio includes AI‑powered features such as the Index Tuning, Query Tuner, and SQL Health Check. Because these features process SQL query information through an AI model, we want to be transparent about exactly what happens to your data at every stage—from collection through processing to disposal.
Data Collection
When you use an AI‑powered feature, AI SQL Tuner Studio sends only the information needed to generate analysis results. This typically includes your SQL query text and related metadata such as execution plans and server performance metrics.
What is never collected or transmitted:
- Database connection strings or server credentials
- Actual row‑level data from non-system tables
- Authentication tokens, passwords, or encryption keys
- Personally identifiable information (PII) stored in your databases
Data Transmission
All data sent from AI SQL Tuner Studio to the AI endpoint is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher. The application communicates exclusively with a Microsoft Azure AI Foundry endpoint hosted within Microsoft’s Azure cloud infrastructure. No query data is routed through, or transmitted to, any other third‑party service for AI processing.
Data Storage
AI SQL Tuner LLC does not store your SQL queries, execution plans, or AI‑generated analysis results on any external server. The AI models hosted on Azure AI Foundry are stateless—no prompts or completions are stored in the model itself. Your query data exists only for the duration of the active API request and is not persisted after the response is returned.
Per Microsoft’s published data‑privacy commitments for Azure AI Foundry: prompts and completions are not used to train, retrain, or improve any generative AI foundation model.
Third‑Party Data Sharing
AI SQL Tuner LLC does not sell, share, or distribute your SQL query data to any third party. Microsoft Azure AI Foundry processes your data solely to generate the AI response for your request. Under Microsoft’s data‑processing terms:
- Your data is not available to other Microsoft customers.
- Your data is not shared with OpenAI or other model providers.
- Your data is not used to train or improve Microsoft’s or any third party’s models.
- Data processing is governed by the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum (DPA).

- Service Providers: Hosting, payment processing, analytics, and customer support vendors.
- Legal Authorities: When required by law or to protect our rights.
- Business Transfers: In case of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- AI Processing: Microsoft Azure AI Foundry (processes SQL queries for AI features only; does not store or retain your data).
4. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to:
- Provide services,
- Fulfill legal obligations,
- Resolve disputes, and
- Enforce agreements.
5. Data Security
We implement industry‑standard measures to protect your information, including encryption, access controls, and regular audits. For AI‑powered features specifically, all communication with the Azure AI Foundry endpoint uses TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit. Microsoft encrypts any temporarily processed data at rest using AES‑256 encryption. The AI models are stateless and do not retain your prompts or completions after processing. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100 % secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Request data portability.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
